The US needs healthcare solutions for the high cost patient
Welcome to my research web page. I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine. I work on developing strategies to improve care for high intensity and high cost patients.
Health professionals strive to deliver quality care to every patient. Despite their best efforts, the systems in which they work can break down, especially when presented with the complex patient. As a result, patients who need intensive medical services are often frustrated or even harmed by poorly delivered care.
Getting the right care to the patient who needs it most is a great challenge for the US healthcare system, but it is also our greatest opportunity for change.
